Elizabeth Park

Lying between Hartford and West Hartford, this project was designed by Anne Penniman Associates and is funded by the Ethel Donaghue Trust.

General Contractor - Mountain View

Contract Amount - $483,640

The project is comprised of two main areas of focus, with a unique transitional space. As you approach the Prospect Ave entrance of Elizabeth Park, you will see the first feature, the "Donaghue Gateway". Don't worry because you can't miss it! We are building six granite piers, three on either side of the entrance and each reaching almost nine feet tall. Once completed, there will be two grand steel arbors resting on top and granite sett pavers below. Flowing from and around this point will be a new planted landscape. Traveling into the park you will notice the planted infiltration swale along side the road guiding towards the "Ethel Donaghue Memorial", our second area of focus. Here we are constructing a large organically shaped granite paver area with granite seatwalls viewing out towards the pond. In this area there will also be new landscape plantings and site lighting.
